

We believe this intermittent break up is a result of the heat. We have had several reports from customers who have been experiencing break up and signal drop out on the Channel 6’s. Telstra is recommending you retune however if you retune your TV while Telstra Velocity is offline you will lose all your services. If you are a Telstra Velocity customer for your Free-To-Air Television service we recommend that you DO NOT RETUNE YOUR TV. While not directly related to any FTA transmission sites on the coast we are aware that there are Telstra outages on their fibre network that affects the Peregian Springs area. If you have retuned while the services were out, a retune of the TV should restore the services for you. Resolved: All Channels have now been restored. Transmissions from the BALD KNOB TRANSMITTER for CH8’s (Local Nine) & Ch7’s (Local Seven) are currently offline. Transmissions from the POINT ARKWRIGHT & PEREGIAN TRANSMITTERS for CH8’s (Nine) & Ch7’s (Local Seven) are currently offline. Transmissions from the DULONG TRANSMITTER for CH5’s (Ten) & CH6’s (Seven) are currently offline. Transmissions from the POINT ARKWRIGHT T RANSMITTER are currently offline. When the reception is restored your TV channels will come back online. Should you be experiencing no signal, DO NOT RETUNE YOUR TV – Your reception will be restored when the problem is resolved at the Transmitter site. Transmissions from the POINT ARKWRIGHT T RANSMITTER are currently experiencing intermittent drop out.
